New Delhi: Medical College at Ambedkar Hospital to open this year

New Delhi: Bringing great news for the aspiring medical students, a tweet on the twitter wall of Health Minister Satyendra Jain has announced the opening of new medical college at Ambedkar Hospital in West Delhi this year.


It is reported that while the medical college had been proposed in the year 2011-12, administrative issues still delayed its development. With MCI giving its green signal, health minister has been found stating that the medical college will be opened by the end of the year.


Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said a new medical college will be opened this year at Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini area of the national capital.


"Congratulations Delhi. New medical college to be opened this year at Ambedkar Hospital Rohini, Approved by MCI (sic)," Jain tweeted.


The college will begin with a strength of around 100 medical seats. A senior government official said with the new medical college, numbers of medical seats will be increased in the national capital.


The Health Minister also tweeted, "Yes. First new Medical college in Delhi by AAP ki Sarkar."
