NEET Scores valid for AFMC Admission

In order to fill the MBBS seats at Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, the college will accept /NEET 2016 score. No separate medical entrance exam will be conducted for the admission.


The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a medical college in Pune, India, in the state of Maharashtra. The college is managed by the Indian Armed Forces. The institution has reinforced all the three services of the Indian Armed Forces by providing a pool of 'doctor soldiers'. It primarily imparts training to medical undergraduates and postgraduates, dental postgraduates, nursing cadets and paramedical staff.



Eligibility Criteria



  1. The candidate should be a citizen of India or be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India.

  2. The aspirants must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted.

  3. The aspirants should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence .

  4. The aspirant must have attained the age of 17 yrs on 31st Dec of the year of application, but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date (Not more than 24 years in case of candidates who have passed or are appearing in final B Sc examinations), reports Media
