NEET PG Counselling 2019: MCC announces holidays due to Lok Sabha Elections; Details

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced holidays due to Lok Sabha Elections.


The information to this effect comes via recent notifications by the MCC uploaded on its official website informing the Candidates who are participating in Round-2 of Online Counselling for NEET PG 2019 that the MCC Call Centre (Help-Desk) based at Noida, UP will be closed / unavailable due to the elections in UP on April 11 2019.


MCC has further directed the participating institutes to keep their respective offices open during the holiday period to avoid any inconvenience to the candidates during the resignation/reporting at the respective allotted Institute.

Separate notices have been issued regarding the holiday announcements for candidates and medical colleges. See the full details of the notices mentioned below:


For Candidates who are participating in Round-2 of Online Counselling for NEET PG 2019:




Keeping in view of the Lok Sabha Elections being held in 2019, all the Candidates and Institutes / Colleges participating in Round-2 of Online Counselling for NEET PG 2019 are hereby informed that:


➢ On 11-04-2019, the MCC Call Centre (Help-Desk) based at Noida, UP will be closed / unavailable due to the elections in UP. However, the MCC administrative office based at Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi will be available for regular operations.



For medical colleges:




Keeping in view of the Online Counselling Schedule for Round-2 NEET PG 2019, all the participating Institutes / Colleges are hereby directed to keep their respective offices (Admission / Academic Cell) open/available during the holiday period
(Except on the respective dates of Lok Sabha Election of the States), to avoid any inconvenience to the candidates during the resignation/reporting at the respective allotted Institute / College.

NEET PG Counselling ROUND 2


Candidates eligible for seat allotment in the 2nd round would be from one of the following groups:


Group–I: Registered candidates who participated in Round-2 but did not get any seat allotted in the 1st round.


Group-II: Registered candidates, whose 1st round of allotted seat got Cancelled during the document verification on reporting for admission, who have secured seat under reserved quota, due to change of Category from reserved to Unreserved or PwD status from Yes to No, but are still eligible in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions.


Group–III: Candidates who have reported/joined at the allotted institute during the joining period of round-1 of allotment and submitted willingness for participating in second round upgradation as ‘Yes’.


Group- IV: Candidates who exited during Round-1 availing Free Exit can log in again with their earlier Registered details.


The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) had recently announced the results for the NEET PG 2019 First Round of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling for All India Quota seats for PG medical courses, MD/MS/MCh (6 years)/DM (6 years), for the academic year 2019-2020. Candidates who scored good ranks in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for PG medical courses, NEET PG had participated in the online counselling process for All India quota.
