Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maha CET Cell) has started the new registration process for BDS candidates due to decrease in qualifying percentile and Revised Institutional Level Round for Private Unaided/Minority Dental colleges.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Dental Council of India (DCI) has lowered the cut off percentile or qualifying marks for NEET 2019 candidates who intend to take admission to BDS Course for the academic session 2019-20.

The information to this effect came via a recent notice uploaded by the Dental Education section of the MoHFW informing all the Health/Medical Education Secretary and Director of Medical Education of all the States/UT, Registrar of the University having dental colleges affiliated to them and all the Dental Colleges running BDS Course in the Country stated in the letter:

Due to decreased percentile for admission to BDS course, the Maha CET Cell has now issued a notification on

1) Schedule for New Registration Process and

2) Revised Institutional Level Round for Private Unaided/Minority Dental colleges only is as below.

• This new registration is only for those candidates who become eligible because of lowering the qualifying marks as mentioned in the above table and who have not yet registered & completed document verification process of the health science courses with State CET Cell.

• Candidates who have already registered and completed document verification process NEED NOT register again.
