NEET 2019 lowered cutoff for BDS admissions: MCC publishes Marks range, number of qualified candidates
New Delhi: With the reduced cutoff percentile for NEET 2019 candidates vying for BDS admissions, already being announced, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published the list of marks range and the number of qualified candidates.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Dental Council of India (DCI) has lowered the cut off percentile or qualifying marks for NEET 2019 candidates who intend to take admission to BDS Course for the academic session 2019-20.
The Qualifying percentiles for NEET-UG 2019 for admissions to BDS courses for the academic session 2019-20 stands lowered as under:
Now, the recent notification on the list of marks range and the number of qualified candidates, the MCC has stated that the result has been compiled by lowering the qualifying cut-off percentile for NEET-UG 2019 for admission to BDS courses by 10.00 percentile for each category (General/ SC/ST/ OBC and PwD of (General/ SC/ST/ OBC).
Based on the Qualifying Criteria ( earlier and Revised), the Marks Range and No of Candidates qualified in each category (General/ SC/ST/ OB and PwD of General/ SC/ST/ OBC) are as follows:
Eligibility of candidates for Stray Vacancy Round
In view of the lowered cutoff, the candidates who have become eligible after lowered cut off can register on MCC website as per the schedule uploaded on MCC website. In view of the above the candidates who have become eligible after lowered The candidates who are already registered need to report to the colleges/ Institutes directly for participation in stray Vacancy Round for BDS seats. The eligibility of candidates for Stray Vacancy Round will be as under:
1. Candidates who haven't been allotted any seat in earlier rounds conducted by MCC are eligible.
2. Candidates who have become eligible after a reduced percentile can do fresh registration and report directly to the colleges for participation in Stray Vacancy Round. For further information kindly contact the concerned college.
