Nagaland Dy CM meets Nadda in New Delhi on Medical College in Kohima

Kohima: Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton along with his BJP Cabinet colleagues and Advisers paid a courtesy call on the Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda at his official residence in New Delhi on Tuesday.


According to a press release issued by the PRO of the Nagaland House in New Delhi, Mr Patton apprised the Union Minister of the State's ongoing top priority projects, including the medical college in Kohima and requested him to extend all help towards the early completion of the same. The delegation comprising Ministers S Pangnyu Phom, Jacob Zhimomi, Kashiho Sangtam, and Advisors Dr. Longrineken, Tovihoto Ayemi, Kazheto Kinimi also expressed gratefulness to Mr Nadda for his concern towards the State, especially in rural health sector.


The Union Minister, it added, conveyed that the Central government is committed to improve the healthcare system in the country, the release said.


In a separate release the PRO informed that the BJP legislators and party officials from Nagaland led by Mr Patton also called on the national BJP president Amit Shah, BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav and Ramlal yesterday and expressed gratitude to the central leaders for personally participating in the recently concluded the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly elections and led the party to a record time victory.


The delegation also reminded the central leaders that they had gone to the people during the elections with commitments for more development under the dispensation of BJP led NDA government at the centre. They, therefore, appealed the Central Government to extend full support to the commitments made by the Prime Minister and the central leaders to the state.


The delegation also expressed their confidence that under the dynamic leadership and guidance of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the president Amit Shah, BJP in the state will grow from strength to strength in the days to come. The delegation also thanked the party leaders for their concerned towards the state development.


Meanwhile, Nagaland Minister of Transport and Land Resources P Paiwang Konyak has urged the union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to increase the flying hours of helicopter from 480 to 1500 hours per annually. Paiwang, who met Rajnath Singh at his residence in New Delhi yesterday, has the later on the helicopter service in the state. With the increasing demand of helicopter service, Paiwang stated that the present flying hours of 480 hour annually is not enough to cater the needs of the state. He has requested the union home minister to increase the helicopter service from 480 hours to 1500 hours annually.


Meanwhile, the Union Minister has assured to look into the matter at the earliest possible time and consider the request of the state. Paiwang also called to the Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation Uma Bharati at her official residence, New Delhi, the PRO release said.
