Mizoram gets first medical college: CM inaugurates Mizoram Institute of Medical Education

Falkawn: The first medical college in Mizoram was inaugurated by Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla.


The chief minister inaugurated the Mizoram Institute of Medical Education and Research (MIMER) at Falkawn, about 20 km south of Aizawl.


The classes in the MIMER would commence from next week with 73 students including around 10 NRIs already admitted, officials said.


The medical college would have a Referral Hospital at the same premises, they added.
