New Delhi: A Delhi court has recently sought the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) reply on a petition seeking monitoring of investigation into an alleged medical college bribery scam. The petition has also sought for a time-bound investigation into the case which is being conducted by the CBI for almost a year.

The court fixed next hearing in the case on November 2.

Advocate Vijay Aggarwal has filed the plea on behalf of a retired judge of Orissa High Court, Judge IM Qudussi who is an accused in the alleged scam.

The petition stated that the investigation has been going on for almost a year and no report has been filed so far by the Investigating Officer before the court in terms of the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.

In September 2017, the probe agency had registered an FIR against Judge Quddusi and others for their alleged involvement in the conspiracy to reverse a government order barring the medical college from admitting students because of substandard facilities and non-fulfilment of required criteria.
