MCI reviews manpower, infrastructure at SCB Medical College

Cuttack: A team of four Medical Council of India(MCI), members visited the SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) on Friday, to assess the infrastructural development at the college, ever since the granting of a seat increase to it from 150 to 250 in 2013. The team also took stock of the manpower in order to understand whether the college was now in a position to retain the 100 additional MBBS seats, stated official sources.


The two-day visit to the hospital by officials involved hostel, classroom and newly built academic block and other facilities inspection.


Infrastructural facilities of various departments, including neurology, cardiology medicines, pulmonary medicine, and cancer unit were reviewed by the visiting officials, reported Odisha tv.in.


The officials held discussions on several issues with the Dean and Principal of the SCBMCH and later visited other wards and departments of the hospital.
