Faridabad: MCI nod to Al Falah Medical College for 150 MBBS seats

New Delhi: The Medical Council of India (MCI) has given its approval to the Al Falah School of Medical Science and Research Centre in Faridabad to begin UG course an intake of 150 MBBS seats.

The Medical College is a part of Al Falah University, one of the private universities running in the region. The college is located just 22 km away from Badarpur Delhi Border.

The institute issued a statement where it was seen stating, "Establishment of this medical college is a good opportunity for those who wish to pursue MBBS course in a medical college in NCR Delhi." The medical college has also uploaded in its official website the Letter of Permission for the starting of UG course for the year 2019-20

"The AL-Falah University has got the Letter of Permission (LOP) dated 18th March 2019 from the MCI, to start MBBS Programme at Al-Falah School of Medical Science & Research Centre and Hospital from session 2019-20 for (intake 150 Students )" the website states

The medical college was one of the four medical colleges in Haryana that were denied permissions last year.

During the last five years, 118 new medical colleges have been established and the MBBS intake capacity has been increased by 18635 seats during the same period.

Recently, MCI gave its nod to two medical colleges to offer MBBS course with a total of 300 seats from this academic year of 2019-20. The apex medical regulator has permitted the Nootan Medical College and Research Centre, Visnagar and Dharamsinh Desai Institute of Medical College, Nadiad with 150 seats each to operate from 2019-2020.
