MCC issues Important Clarification regarding Round 2 Resignation
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an important notice reiterating the norms of resignation after Round 2 NEET PG 2019 Counselling.
In its notice, the MCC has strictly clarified that the resignation after Round 2 NEET PG counselling is not allowed and it will not entertain any such request of resignation from colleges or candidates.
The notice comes after the Medical Counselling Committee authorities received several queries from the PG medical candidates and medical colleges asking whether the candidates who have joined the seats allotted to them in Round-2 can resign from their seat or not.
The notice uploaded on the official website of MCC clearly states,
MCC of DGHS is receiving a lot of queries from students as well as colleges whether the candidates who have joined the seats allotted to them in Round-2 can resign from their seat or not.
In this regard, it is informed that candidates who joined their allotted seat of All India Quota of Round 1 but did not resign within stipulated time period (i.e till 16th April, 2019) and freshly allotted and joined candidates of Round-2 will not be able to resign from their allotted seat candidates who have joined a seat in Deemed/Central University in Round-2 will not be eligible to participate in any further rounds of counselling in compliance with the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 09-05-2017 passed in W.P No. 267 of 2017 Dar Educational Trust Vs. MCI & Ors.
Further, it is clarified that MCC of DGHS Will not entertain any such request of resignation from colleges or candidates.
Earlier, the Medical Counselling Committee had informed that candidates who join their allotted seat of All India Quota of Round 2 will not be able to resign and candidates who have been allotted a seat in Deemed/ Central University in Round 2 and join the seat will not be able to participate in any further rounds of counselling in compliance with the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 09/5/2017 passed in Writ Petition© No.267 of 2017 –Dar-Us-Slam Educational Trust & Ors Vs MCI & Ors.
