Kerela : FRC fixes Rs 14 lakh fee for self-financing medical PG courses

Kerela: The fee regulatory commission headed by R. Rajendra Babu recently made a few fee announcement for the self-financing colleges for the year 2017-18 and 2018-19.

Following are the categories and fee fixed by the FRC for clinical, non-clinical, and super speciality courses, and PG diploma clinical courses :

  • clinical PG degree courses-14 lakhs

  • non-clinical PG degrees- Rs 8.5 lakh

  • PG diploma (clinical) courses- Rs 10.5

  • super specialty course-Rs. 18.5 lakh


The fee for NRI quota has been fixed at Rs 35 lakhs, with college managements asked to refund excessive sums collected reports Deccan Chronicle. The decisions in this regard have been taken in consultation with the medical colleges, the documents submitted and the follow-up deliberations.

All the Medical Colleges, except Kannur Medical College and KMCT Medical College appeared before the Commission for a hearing.
