In the absence of evidence at the quick verification stage against former Chief Minister, Chandy and Minister, Anil kumar, there names were exempted from the list of accused in the FIR, according to Sukumaran.

"But they will be made accused if the detailed investigations to be conducted now finds any evidence against them,'' Sukumaran added.

He alleged appointment of 200 staff, including, 125 teaching staff at the college. The college was established at an expense of Rs 800 crore, from the funds of the SC/ST department, during the previous UDF regime.

The vigilance officials in Palakkad and Thiruvananthapuram were involved in the quick verification. The Thiruvananthapuram officials are probing whether the various orders issued by the previous government to ratify the appointments at the medical college, were legal. That probe is likely to reveal the alleged role played by the of former CM and Minister in these appointments.
