KEA Karnataka releases Schedule for PG Medical Admissions 2019, invites applications

Karnataka: With the NEET PG 2019 counselling for the All India quota at MCC as well as respective state beginning, the State of Karnataka has also invited applications for the admissions to PG Medical courses. The information to this effect is available at the KEA website.

As per the Medical Council of India Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000 as amended from time to time and Government order No. HFW 320 RGU 2016, Bangalore dated 13-04-2017, and as per the decisions of the PG Entrance Test Committee, Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is inviting applications online from the eligible candidates who have qualified in NEET-PG 2019 / NEET MDS 2019 and who fulfils the eligibility criteria as per rules.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bengaluru is conducting Online / Offline Counseling for allotment of seats for admission to Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses in Medical / Dental subjects in Government Medical and Dental colleges, Government Quota seats in Private and Minority Medical and Dental Colleges and Private seats in Private Medical and Dental colleges (KPCF, KRLMPCA, AMPCK and Private Universities) located in the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2019-20 as per the Karnataka Conduct of Entrance Test for Selection and Admission to Post Graduate Medical and Dental Degree and Diploma Courses Rules 2006 as amended up to 2019 and as per the guidelines of MCI / DCI / Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GOI / Government of India / Director Medical Education, Karnataka / PG Entrance Test Committee to conduct Centralised and Combined Counselling for the seats to be notified by the Karnataka State Government, in Government, KPCF, KRLMPCA, AMPCK and Private Universities institutions.

The academic eligibility criteria as laid down in PG-NEET-2019 information brochure and other conditions are hosted on the KEA Website for the information of the candidates. The candidates who have scored more than or equal to the prescribed minimum score in NEET-PG 2019 / NEET MDS 2019 only are eligible to register for PG Admissions. Please note that SC/ST/OBC eligibility criteria are applicable to Karnataka SC/ST/OBC candidates only.

The registration fees, schedule and procedure for document verification, original documents to be produced for verification, and other details is hosted on KEA Website. The interested eligible candidates have to register online by selecting the appropriate link on the KEA Website to participate in the document verification.

How to Apply?

Enter all the details through ONLINE by browsing URL on website by selecting "PGET-2019 Online Registration". After completion of entry of all the details candidate's will receive an application ID and Password to their registered mobile phone number and to the email address and also the same information will be displayed on the screen.

Step 2

Upload the scanned copy of recent passport size Colour Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression in JPG / JPEG format separately.

Step 3 The candidates have to pay the requisite fee in the prescribed method.

Step 4 Take a printout of the application form on A-4 Size paper and the same copy should be produced during document verification.

Entry of Application Online From 11:00 a.m. on 16.03.2019 to 20.03.2019 up to 5:30 p.m.

Last date to pay the Registration fees 21.03.2019 (During Banking Hours)

Candidature is purely provisional and subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in the NEET-PG 2019 / NEET MDS 2019 Information Bulletin further the provisional admission made is subject to the approval of MCI / DCI / Government / Competent Authority / Universities / Apex Bodies etc. Mere registering or verifying the documents does not confer any right to the candidates for admission to Karnataka PG MD / MS / Diploma courses.

Mere qualifying in PG-NEET-2019 does not confer any right on the candidate unless the candidate fulfils eligibility conditions/submission of certificates. Further, only the candidates who complete the registration process including document verification are eligible for PG Medical / Dental seats in Government / Private Colleges in Karnataka. Registered but not verified / Unregistered candidates will not be allowed for any admission either through KEA or by the College, as after the mop up round, the list of registered and verified but un-allotted candidates will be sent byKEA to colleges to fill-up vacant seats, if any. (As per GOI instructions)

NOTE: All the candidates who have qualified in NEET-PG 2019 / NEET MDS 2019 are hereby advised to register and complete the document verification process to become eligible for admission to PG Medical / Dental (Degree/ Diploma) Courses in the State of Karnataka.

The above schedule may be revised depending on the schedule of All India counselling.

# Candidates who have registered prior to the mop-up round and have gone through document verification would need to register their interest in participating in the mop-up round on the KEA portal. Further, they must download the entry pass for mop-up round and must produce the same at the venue on the day of mop-up counselling. Candidates without entry pass will not be allowed into KEA premises.

* Freshly registered candidates must collect their entry pass after verification of their documents for them to participate in the mop-up round.

Download of entry pass will be enabled on submission of all the original documents.

Only candidates will be allowed to enter the premises for Mop-up round counselling.
