Karnataka CM says NO Need of New Medical College; Organisations observe Total Yadgir Bandh

Yadgir: A total 'Yadgir Bandh' was observed in the City demanding the establishment of new Medical College in the District and protesting against Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's statement against the need for setting up Medical College.


The Bandh, the call was given by the various organisation and was led by BJP MLA Venkatgouda Mudnal, evoked support from various organisations including Dalit groups, trade unions, farmers' organisations, women groups, student associations, Kannada organisations, Muslim, Lingayat and other community-based outfits. While Congress and JD(S) Party apparently distanced itself from the protest.
