HP Medical Colleges to get more Doctors soon, 276 posts lying vacant: Health Minister

At present 276 posts of doctors have been lying vacant

Shimla: The state of Himachal Pradesh, which is so far toiling hard to end the shortage of medical professionals including Doctors and Paramedical staff, would soon see a surplus of doctors by filling 276 vacant posts.


This was stated during the question hours by Health Minister Vipin Parmar while replying to a query of Col Inder Singh of BJP in the state assembly.

He said that with filling up of 285 posts in medical colleges in the state the would be no vacant posts of doctors in the state as all the five medical college hospitals all the vacant posts of doctors will be filled up very soon.

Mr Parmar said that out of the 2207 vacant posts of doctors in these institutions 1982 posts have been filled up and after coming in power this government filled up 307 posts of doctors in almost one year.

Mr Parmar said that at present 276 posts of doctors have been lying vacant and the process of filling up these vacant posts have already been started as the interview of the new batch of 285 doctors are on to fill up the vacant posts.
