Chandigarh: The Haryana Minister for Public Works (B&R), Rao Narbir Singh, has said that a new medical college would be constructed in Kherki Majra village of Gurugram District in next two months.

The construction work on Badshahpur Elevated Highway would also start this month and an expressway would be built at a cost of Rs 7,200 crore. This expreswaay would reduce the travel time from Haldiram, Gurugram, to Indira Gandhi International Airport to only 15-20 minutes.

Speaking after resolving the grievances of people in Pink Town House Society in Phase III of Gurugram last evening, Rao Narbir Singh assured the residents of DLF Phase III that soon after take-over of DLF Phase III by the Gurugram Municipal Corporation by August 15, the area would be developed further.

On hearing the problems of people of this area about electricity, water, roads and boundary wall etc, the minister said these problems would be resolved after MC took over the area as MC had big budget for developmental works.

The present government has done tremendous developmental works in Gurugram during the last three-and-a-half years. These are many times more than the works done by the previous government during its ten-year tenure, he added.
