Gujarat: 700-bed hospital cum college to begin at Palanpur

Palanpur: A 700 bed hospital with a medical college coming up in Moriya Village some 7 km from Palanpur is likely to develop the Banaskantha area as a medical treatment hub for north Gujarat districts as well as for patients of Rajasthan was the view expressed by state Health Minister, Shankar Chaudhary; Chairman Banas Dairy .


When completed people will be able to avail different services like ENT, radiology, pathology blood bank and others he added. The medical college will have 150 seats.


Chaudhary said that since it was the birth centenary of Banas Dairy's Founder Chairman Galababhai Patel, the multi-speciality hospital will be a befitting tribute to him.


The civil hospital in Palanpur will be operated by Galababhai Charitable Foundation on lease for five years, Mr. Chaudhary revealedto the TOI. He asserted that despite the trust take over of the civil hospital, people will continue to avail free services as before.
