CEE Kerala informs about Spot Allotment for AYUSH courses

Kerala: Through a recent notice Office of the Commissioner for the Entrance Examinations, Kerala invited online applications from 23.10.2018 to 26.10.2018, 8 am for spot allotment of AYUSH courses. The notice along with the full details of the original website of CEE Kerala is given:


The vacant seats in Medical courses [Ayurveda, Homoeopathy & Siddha] and Medical Allied Courses [Agriculture & Forestry] 2018 will be filled up through a Spot Allotment to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at the T.J.M Hall inside LMS Compound, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram on 26th October 2018 (Friday) at 10 am.


In this Spot Allotment, allotment will be done to the 85% seats available for allotment by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in the newly sanctioned Private Self Financing Ayurveda Medical College, viz. Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikilsalayam and Vidhyapeedham, Palakkad. Candidates getting fresh allotment in the Spot Allotment shall have to join the allotted college on 27th or 29th of October 2018. The seats, if any, still becoming vacant due to the non-joining of allotted candidates shall be filled up by the college authorities through Spot admission to be held on 31.10.2018.

Filing of online options for Spot Allotment is mandatory Candidates who wish to participate in the Spot Allotment to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at Thiruvananthapuram shall have to register online options by clicking the menu item ‘Option Registration for Spot Allotment’ after logging in through the link ‘KEAM 2018-Candidate Portal’ provided in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The facility for submission of online options in the above website shall be available from 23.10.2018 to 8 am on 26.10.2018. Candidates who file options online will be issued with a ‘Spot Allotment Slip’ which can be downloaded from the webpage.


The allotment to Ayurveda/Homoeo/Siddha/Agriculture/Forestry courses in the Spot Allotment shall be
on the basis of the priority of online options filed by the candidates and as per the eligibility of the candidates strictly adhering to the guidelines for Spot Allotment as detailed below. In the Spot Allotment, only the online options submitted by those candidates who report at 10 am in the Spot Allotment venue will be considered and the allotment will be done accordingly. Candidates who get new allotment based on the online options submitted by them will automatically lose their previous allotment/admission if any. Hence, while filing online options, candidates are advised to take utmost care in filing options only to the courses/colleges to which they are sure to join and continue studies if allotted. Candidates are also advised to file options in advance to the courses/colleges of their choice in which fresh vacancies may be created during Spot Allotment. Candidates will not be permitted to alter their submitted options after 8 am on 26.10.2018. Candidates should present themselves for the Spot Allotment with the printout of online options filed and the Spot Allotment Slip.


Candidates who do not register online options within the stipulated time will not be considered for Spot Allotment.

Guidelines for Spot Allotment:


The Spot Allotment to be conducted in accordance with clause 11.6.9 of the Prospectus will be subject to the following conditions.


i) Candidates who figure in the Medical/Ayurveda rank list - 2018 prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and who file online options can participate in the spot allotment.


ii) Spot Allotment is conducted to fill up the vacant seats in each college.


iii) Transfer between two Govt/Aided colleges or between two Self Financing colleges shall not be permitted at any stage of the Spot allotment for the same course.


iv) Transfer between two different courses and transfer from a Self Financing college to Govt./Aided college and vice versa for the same course shall be allowed.


v) If a candidate already admitted in any of the above courses gets new allotment in Spot Allotment the seats that become vacant shall be filled up then and there itself.


vi) Candidates who receive allotment in the Spot allotment shall have to remit the fees as given below, by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
a) Govt./Aided Homoeopathic Medical Colleges – Rs. 2,087/-
b) Govt./Aided Ayurveda Medical Colleges – Rs. 12,000/-
c) Private Self Financing Ayurveda Medical Colleges – Rs. 1,00,000/-
d) Private Self Financing Siddha Medical College – Rs. 1,00,000/-
e) Agriculture/Forestry courses under Kerala Agricultural University – Rs. 7,500/- The balance fee, if any, to be paid shall have to be remitted at the college during admission.


Note:


Candidates getting allotment afresh who belong to SC/ST/OEC/Children of Registered Fishermen category and those having benefits as per G.O. (MS) 25/2005/SCSTDD, dated: 20.06.2005 and G.O. (MS) 10/2014/BCDD, dated: 23.05.2014, have to remit token deposit of Rs.1000/- as Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable at Thiruvananthapuram.


Important:


1) Candidates who are admitted to MBBS/BDS courses at present, if allotted to other Medical & Allied courses during Spot allotment can accept the new allotment only after paying a liquidated damages of Rs.10 lakhs in case discontinuing from MBBS course or Rs. 5 lakhs in case discontinuing from BDS course as per clause 12.2.4 (a) (iii) of the Prospectus for KEAM 2018. Also, such candidates are liable to be debarred from the Entrance Examinations and/or allotments conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations for a period not exceeding two years.


2) Candidates who are admitted to Engineering courses at present, if allotted to other Medical & Allied courses during Spot allotment need not pay liquidated damages as per clause 12.2.4 (a) (i) of the Prospectus for KEAM 2018. But the fee remitted for the year shall not be refunded.


3) Candidates who are admitted to other courses for which admissions are closed if allotted to other Medical & Allied courses during Spot allotment shall have to pay liquidated damages as per clause 12.2.4 (a) (i) of the Prospectus for KEAM 2018.
