Ayurveda College Fee hike: High court revokes government order
Nainital: In a relief to students of Ayurvedic colleges in the state, the Uttarakhand High Court has revoked a state government order effecting a substantial hike in their fees.
Denotifying the government order (GO) dated October 14, 2015 the single bench of justice Sudhanshu Dhulia said students who have already submitted fees as per the denotified GO be reimbursed within 15 days.
The government order had increased the fees of Ayurvedic colleges from Rs 80,000 to Rs 2.15 lakh per year, prompting 104 students of the Himalayan Ayurvedic College to challenge the move, terming it as unconstitutional.
