Another 6 Private Medical Colleges debarred for two years, Rs 2 crore deposit forfeited by Health Ministry
After cracking a whip on 32 private medical colleges across the country, the Ministry of Health and Family welfare has now sent notices to six more private medical colleges, informing them about decision of the Central Government to debar them from admitting students in next two academic years i.e. 2017-18 and 2018-19. The ministry has also authorized MCI to encash the Bank Guarantee of Rs. 2.00 Crore.
The colleges have been directed not to admit students in the MBBS course in the academic years 2017-18 & 2018-19. Admissions made in violation of the directives will be treated as irregular and action will be initiated under IMC Act and made there under.
Moreover, the ministry added that the next batch of students shall be admitted in the College only after obtaining permission of the Central Government for renewal.
