Andhra Pradesh:Government Homoeopathic College initiate PG courses
RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: Post Graduate courses were launched at Dr. Allu Ramalingaiah Government Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital on Monday by the City MLA, Akula Satyanarayana. Eighteen PG seats have been allotted by the union government under Ayush to the college .
Dr. Akula said Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, State Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas and Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu had taken immense interest in these course initiations.
He promised to ensure that sufficient facilities were provided to the college. Homoeopathy, Unani and Ayurveda are very old medical practices in the country and there is need to conduct more research on them, he further added.
The college Principal, P Surya Bhaghavan revealed that they could get permission to start PG courses within 15 days with the help of the city's MLA. He further added that 10 faculty were required for the new courses and they would be appointed in a short period of time . The MLA and the Principal together congratulated the 18 new entrants to the PG courses.
The MLA also took a round of the college and found out about the facilities available and also spoke to the patients.
