Andhra Pradesh: MCI inspection team visits Siddhartha Medical College

Andhra Pradesh: Siddhartha Medical College witnessed an inspection by the MCI team recently at its premise.

The MCI team visited the college premise to review the application filed by the college for an addition of 50 more seats-up from the existing 100 seats offered by it. As a result of which the MCI team stopped by to have a close look at the infrastructure facilities of the college.

More specifically, there were inquiries by the visiting council members about the construction of teaching and non-teaching staff quarters in the locale.

College representative including the Principal Dr Sasank Babu, vice-principal K S N Prasad, Hospital Superintendent Surya Kumari and MCI Coordinator Raja Gopal were present during the inspection.

According to the details reported by Hansindia , the committee comprising of pediatrician Badresh Vyas from Gujarat, anatomy professor H G Agarwal from Bihar and pharmacology specialist Vasanth Chouhan from Karnataka along with a few others visited the facilities.

They inspected simultaneously at the Old Government Hospital in Hanumanpet, which is being used as the maternity hospital along with the new Government Hospital near Ring Road. Also, the team checked into the facilities at the Rural Health Training Centre in Peda Avutapalli.
