Adv Kumar visits Baramulla to sort out modalities of upcoming GMC

Baramulla: Advisor to Governor Vijay Kumar on Thursday visited this north Kashmir district to sort out the modalities for Government Medical College (GMC), an official spokesman here said.


He said Mr Kumar visited Health Institutions of Pattan Block in order to have on spot assertion of health facilities being provided to the public at large and patients in particular. He inspected all the sections of the hospitals and took stock of the investigative and diagnostic facilities being provided to the patients. The Advisor also interacted with the patients and public delegations.


Mr Atul Dulloo took the round of the hospital during which he interacted with the patients and their attendants. During the visit, a meeting was also convened by the Principal Secretary, wherein he was briefed about the modalities of upcoming Government Medical College in Baramulla and conveyed its present status.


He inspected the under construction Administrative Block of the upcoming GMC and directed the General Manager of the executing agency to complete it within the stipulated time. Principal secretary to government Atul Dulloo stressed his satisfaction over the facilities being provided to the common masses of the district and patients in particular.


Delegations including a delegation from Sopore also met Principal Secretary to appraise of the issues of public concern in order to upgrade latest diagnostic facilities here to ensure doorstep services in the district.
