Army College of Dental Sciences inks MoU with BITS-Pilani for carrying out basic research in Oral Cancer

Hyderabad: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Monday between Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS) and BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus for carrying out inter-disciplinary clinical and basic research in Oral Cancer.


The MoU was signed in the presence of Major General N Srinivas Rao, GOC TASA and Prof G Sunder, Director BITS-PILANI Hyderabad Campus.


The MoU was planned and orchestrated by the Principal ACDS, Dr Ramana Reddy and HOD, Biological Sciences BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus Dr Naga Mohan.

The MOU is for carrying out clinical and basic research in oral cancer that is quite common in this part of country. The Research team would consist of members from both the Institutions supported, funded and headed from BITS- Pilani, Hyderabad campus.

The college ethics committee would oversee the sharing of data as is the procedure. This would benefit the ACDS in being involved in a major research project giving its faculty and PG students a great opportunity, a statement here said.
