Thiruvanathapuram: PG admissions in seven self financing colleges hang fire with filling of applications coming to an end on Wednesday. The uncertain situation has arisen because of the delay on the part of the managements to declare their fee structures for community and NRI seats to the state government.

However, it is reported that Christian managements have reached an agreement with the state government on fee issues.

The 7 self financing colleges who have not been able to a reach a consensus on fee issues with the government have had the Fee Regulatory Committee fix their fee structures, which is not actually agreeable to the college managements.

Head, Admission Supervisory Committee, Justice Rajendra Babu on an optimistic note stated there wasn't any uncertainty regarding PG medical admissions. He admitted to only a few colleges having handed over the requisite information. The apex Court has demarcated May 31 as the last day for completion of admission procedures.

However, it is believed that five of the seven self financing colleges are in all likelihood to reach an agreement with the state government on fee issues reports the TNIE.
