Karnataka: MCI approves renewal affiliation of two medical colleges

Bengaluru: The Medical Council of India(MCI), has assented to renewal of affiliation of two Medical Colleges for the academic year 2017-18. Affiliation of Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences and Chamrajnagar Institute of Medical Sciences had been denied by the Council at its last executive Committee meeting held on January 13.


The Department of Medical Education has recently received a communication from the Medical Council, stating the MCI approval of renewal. “MCI had some queries during its visit for which we have submitted a compliance report. Considering the report, MCI has renewed the affiliation,”Dr Sachidanand, Director, Medical Education Department told the Indian Express.
