4 complaints of sexual harassment received in GMC: JK Govt

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government said that four sexual harassment complaints were received last year in the Government Medical College (GMC) at Jammu.


In a written reply to a question by PDP member Surinder Choudhary in the Legislative Council, Health Minister Bali Bhagat said that four complaints regarding sexual harassment were received in GMC Jammu, out of which two were resolved with both the complainants satisfied with the proceedings.


Besides, one case is pending before the State Commission for Women and in another case the complainant has not appeared before the committee despite many reminders, he said.
