2 UP Government Medical colleges denied MCI Permission, MCC withdraws their MBBS seats from NEET counselling

New Delhi: MBBS seats of two government medical colleges at Uttar Pradesh have been now withdrawn by the Medical Counselling committee (MCC) after the two failed to meet the Medical Council of India (MCI) nod for offering the MBBS course for this academic year.

The two medical colleges have been identified as Government Medical College & Super Speciality Hospital, Azamgarh as well as Manyavar Kanshi Ram Ji Government Allopathic Medical College, Orai, Jalaun who have been now denied permission under the section 10(A) of the Indian Medical Council Act to offer MBBS course for the academic year 2019-20 by the Board of Governors of MCI. Both the Medical colleges are government medical colleges and are situated in Uttar Pradesh

Confirmation to the withdrawal of MBBS seats from NEET 2019 counselling was recently given by the MCC which issued a notice informing about the same



It is for the information to all candidates participating in All India Counselling 2019 for Under Graduate courses that the following colleges who had earlier contributed 15% seats to AIQ and were uploaded on the seat matrix will be deleted before processing of Result of Round-1 as these colleges have not been permitted u/s 10(A) of the IMC Act for the academic year 2019-20 by BOG, MCI.

The following colleges will be deleted before seat processing of Round-1

a) Government Medical College & Super Speciality Hospital, Azamgarh.

b) Manyavar Kanshi Ram Ji Government Allopathic Medical College, Orai, Jalaun

Government Medical College and Super Speciality Hospital, situated at Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh is affiliated to King George Medical University. Last year it had offered 100 MBBS seats with 15% through AIQ Counselling
