11 new medical colleges to be opened in Bihar: Minister

Patna: Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on Thursday said that 11 new medical colleges would be opened in the state with the cooperation of the Centre and the state government.


On the occasion of completion of four years of Narendra Modi government, senior BJP leader Mr Pandey told newspersons here the Centre and the state government were making concerted efforts to ensure that people of the state could have easy access to quality health services.


He said 11 new medical colleges would be opened in the state in the same direction.


Mr Pandey said the medical colleges would be opened in Jhanjharpur, Begusarai, Vaishali, Bhojpur and Sitamarhi under the state government's 7-point resolve.


He said the Centre had sanctioned an approval for opening medical colleges in Purnea, Chhapra and Samastipur districts two years back and sanctioned five new medical colleges in the state in the union budget 2018-19.
