AIIMS Announces Result for Final MBBS Supplementary Exam May 2019
New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS New Delhi) has announced the Final Result of MBBS (Supple) examination held in May 2019.
Candidates who had applied for MBBS (Supple) examination can now check their results SUCCESSFUL or UNSUCCESSFUL in the subject mentioned against their names by clicking here.
Earlier Medical Dialogues had reported that in a major boost to the MBBS pool at the premier, All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS); 400 seats have been added; of which 300 will be allotted to the new branches of the institute and 50 MBBS seats each have been added to AIIMS Guntur and AIIMS Nagpur.
According to the prospectus, this year, six new branches of AIIMS will be established across the country. These include AIIMS Kalyani, Raebareli, Gorakhpur, Bathinda, Deogarh and Bibinagar. In these new medical institutes, a total of 300 MBBS seats will be allotted, 50 MBBS seats at each campus. In addition, at the AIIMS Nagpur and Guntur, 50 MBBS seats each have been added to their existing pool of 50 seats at each institute; making 100 UG Medical seats at each medical college.
This makes a total of 400 additional MBBS seats this year which will be available to the AIIMS MBBS 2019 candidates.
The AIIMS prospectus also mentions the details of reserved seats:
- 51 seats for Unreserved category
- 27 seats for OBC (Other Backward Class) category
- 15 for SC category
- 7 seats for ST category
- 5% of the total seats are reserved for PwD (Persons with Disabilities) category.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as an autonomous institution of national importance and defined its objectives and functions. By virtue of this Act, the Institute awards its own medical degrees and other academic distinctions. The degrees awarded by the Institute under the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Act are recognized medical qualifications for the purpose of the Indian Medical Council Act and notwithstanding anything contained therein, are deemed to be included in the first schedule of that Act, entitling the holders to the same privileges as those attached to the equivalent awards from the recognized Universities of India.
