AIIMS PG January 2020: Result for Round 2 Online Counselling released
New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the Result of the 2nd Round of Online Counselling for MD/MS/MCh(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDS, January 2020 Session.

As per the schedule for 2nd Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) for AIIMS PG courses in MD/MS/MCh(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDS, January 2020 Session, the following eligible candidates have exercised their choices (AIIMS and subject/specialty) from 11.00 am 24.12.2019 to 5.00 pm 26.12.2019.
Accordingly, the allocation of PG Courses/Subject (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) for 2nd Round has been done. The General Rules for Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) is at the end of this document.
The rank‐wise list of allocated PG Courses/Subject (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) of the 2nd Round is as follows:

MRC: Meritorious Reserved Category Candidate (A candidate of OBC/SC/ST/EWS category who has been allocated a UR PG Course/Subject on the basis of Overall Merit).
UR‐AIIMS Preference: A graduate of AIIMS who has been allocated a PG Course under UR Category of the respective AIIMS according procedure mentioned in the Prospectus (Applicable only to AIIMS‐New Delhi in this session)
Counselling Completed (2nd Round): The Counselling Completed (2nd Round) for that category at a rank higher than that of the candidate. The last rank at which the PG Course/Subject has been allocated in the respective category is given below.

Important information
1. This list includes all candidates who were eligible for the 2nd Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course)
2. This list does not include Foreign Nationals/Sponsored candidates.
3. Candidates who did not participate in the 2nd Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) are NOT ELIGIBLE for the 3rd of Round of Counselling but can participate in the Open Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation.
4. For the 3rd round, the order of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) will be based on the merit order used for the 2nd Round (including institutional preference PG Courses/ Subject) with no further change.
5. For the open round, the order of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) will be based on the original merit list, without any institutional preference.
PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED BY CANDIDATES WHO HAVE BEEN ALLOTTED PG COURSE/SUBJECT IN THE 2ND ROUND OF ONLINE COUNSELLING (ONLINE ALLOCATION OF PG COURSE).
All candidates who have been allotted a PG Course/Subject in the 2nd Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) are required to visit the website and actively exercise one of the following options by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020. Failure to select any of the option as below will lead to forfeiture of the allocated PG Course/Subject and the candidate will become ineligible to participate in 3rd Round.
Option 1. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of PG Course/Subject Allocation.
Option 2. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation
Option 3. DECLINE / REFUSE allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation
Instruction for Candidates (Read Carefully)
There are three Groups of candidates who have been allocated PG Course/Subject in the 2nd Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course). The procedures are different for each Group. Kindly follow the instructions as applicable to you. It is mandatory for all candidates who have been allotted PG Course/ Subject in 2nd Round to login and exercise one of the options as mentioned above by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020.
Group I. Candidates who had chosen option 2 in the 1st Round of PG Course/Subject allocation. There are two outcomes for them:
Group I A. Candidates who have been allotted same PG Course/ Subject (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2nd Round as they had been allotted in 1st Round
Group I B. Candidates who have been allotted a higher/better choice PG Course/Subject in the 2nd Round as compared to 1st Round in the same or different AIIMS.
Group II. Candidates who had chosen option 4 in the 1st Round of PG Course/Subject allocation.
Group III. Candidates who were not allotted PG Course/Subject in the 1st Round but now have been allotted PG Course/Subject in the 2nd Round of PG Course/Subject allocation.
Instructions for candidates belonging to Group I A (Candidates who had chosen option 2 in the 1st Round of PG Course/Subject allocation and who have been allotted same PG Course/Subject in the 2nd Round as they had been allotted in 1st Round)
Option 1. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of PG Course/Subject Allocation. The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report in person to the allotted AIIMS by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020.
Option 2. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation. The candidate must email a scanned copy of the duly signed Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) to email id of the respective AIIMS (mentioned on page 38) by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020. A hardcopy of duly signed Offer Letter must be sent by Speed Post Only to the respective AIIMS. The candidate must login if they wish to participate in the 3rd Round of PG Course/Subject allocation on dates mentioned in the Important Dates link.
Option 3. DECLINE / REFUSE allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation. A penalty of 3 Lakhs will imposed on the candidate and the allotted PG Course/Subject will be vacated and made available in the 3rd Round of PG Course/Subject allocation. The candidates must report to the respective AIIMS. Candidate will not be eligible for 3rd Round of PG Course/Subject allocation.
Instructions for candidates belonging to Group I B (Candidates who have been allotted a higher/better choice PG Course/Subject in the 2nd Round as compared to 1st Round in the same or different AIIMS)
Option 1. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of PG Course/Subject Allocation. The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report in person to the allotted AIIMS by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020. The certificates/DD will be transferred internally within respective AIIMS. In case you had deposited DD with photocopies of certificates after the 1st Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation, then you are required to deposit the original certificates at the time of reporting and the DD will be returned.
Option 2. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation. A penalty of 3 Lakhs will imposed on the candidate and the allotted PG Course/Subject will be vacated and made available in the 3rd Round of PG Course/Subject allocation. The candidates must report to the respective AIIMS. Candidate will not be eligible for 3rd Round of PG Course/Subject allocation.
Instructions for candidates belonging to Group II (Candidates who had chosen option 4 in the 1st Round of PG Course/Subject allocation and have been allotted a PG Course/Subject in 2nd Round of PG Course/Subject allocation)
Option 1. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of PG Course/Subject Allocation. The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report in person to the allotted AIIMS by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020. The certificates/DD will be transferred internally within respective AIIMS. In case you had deposited DD with photocopies of certificates after the 1st Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation, then you are required to deposit the original certificates at the time of reporting and the DD will be returned.
Option 2. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation. The candidate must email a scanned copy of the duly signed Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) to email id of the respective AIIMS (mentioned on page 38) by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020. A hardcopy of duly signed Offer Letter must be sent by Speed Post Only to the respective AIIMS. The candidate must login if they wish to participate in the 3rd Round of PG Course/Subject allocation on dates mentioned in the Important Dates link. The certificates/DD will be transferred internally within respective AIIMS.
Option 3. DECLINE / REFUSE allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation. No penalty will be levied on the candidate. The candidate can collect certificates/DD from respective AIIMS.
Instructions for candidates belonging to Group III (Candidates who were not allotted PG Course/Subject in the 1st
Round but now have been allotted PG Course/Subject in the 2nd Round of PG Course/Subject allocation)
Option 1. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of PG Course/Subject Allocation. The candidate must report to the allocated AIIMS in 2nd Round within the dates mentioned in the Important Dates Link.
• The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report in person to the allotted Institute for depositing original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of the allotted AIIMS (see details below) along with photocopies of certificates. The DD and photocopies of the certificates can be deposited by a person authorized by candidate.
The DD will be refunded when original certificates are deposited.
• It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is OPTING NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN FURTHER ROUNDS OF PG COURSE/SUBJECT ALLOCATION.
• If original certificates are not deposited at the time of reporting, these will have to be submitted in person within 5 days of reporting, otherwise allocated PG Course/Subject and deposited money will be forfeited, and candidate will not be eligible for any further participation in counselling.
• In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020, the PG Course/Subject allocated will be cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course). However these candidates can participate in the Open Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation/Counselling.
Option 2. If the option of ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation is selected then,
• The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report in person to the allotted Institute for depositing original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of the allotted AIIMS (see details below) along with photocopies of certificates. The DD and photocopies of the certificates can be deposited by a person authorized by candidate. The DD will be refunded when original certificates are deposited for joining a PG Course/Subject after any round of counselling but will be forfeited if no PG Course/Subject is opted at the end of all rounds.
• In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report by 1.00 PM on Saturday, the 4th January, 2020, the admission will be cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of PG Course/Subject Allocation.
• The candidate shall be eligible for the 3rd round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course).
Option 3. If the option of DECLINE / REFUSE allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation is selected then,
• The allocated PG Course/Subject will be vacated and the candidate will not be eligible to participate in 3rd Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation. The Candidate will not be able to claim this PG Course/Subject if this option is selected.
• It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is OPTING NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN 3rd ROUNDS OF PG COURSE/SUBJECT ALLOCATION.
Note: Any candidate who has been allocated a PG Course/Subject in the 2nd Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) and does NOT respond in any of the above manner, his/her offer of Course shall be vacated and he/she shall be ineligible for all further Rounds of counseling except the Open Round of Counselling.
POLICY REGARDING THE DEPOSITING OF DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES/DD as applicable
The claim to the allotted PG Course/Subject by candidates is subject to verification of the documents for eligibility as applicable as well as biometric verification of candidature. If a candidate fails to submit required certificates (original or photocopies with DD) his/her candidature will be cancelled, the offer of Course will be vacated for next Round and he/she will not be allowed to participate in subsequent stages of selection/admission process. However the candidate will be eligible for the Open Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation.
List of Documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original OR duly Attested / Self Attested photocopy (after due verification of originals) along with Demand Draft as applicable.
i) Offer Letter
ii) Seat allocation letter
iii) Final Registration Slip
iv) Admit Card issued by AIIMS.
v) Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations.
vi) MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate.
vii) Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the candidate will be completing the internship by 31st January 2020.
viii) Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council.
ix) High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth. (Matriculation)
x) The Candidate should also bring the following certificate if applicable*:
a. SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificate* issued by the competent authority and should be in English or Hindi in language. Community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate.
Note: OBC Certificate* should be issued by the competent authority for central Govt. jobs/for admission in Central Govt. College/Institute. The sub‐caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. OBC Certificates that are applicable only for respective State Governments shall not be acceptable. OBC certificate must be in the Central Govt. Format as prescribed in the prospectus. OBC Candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer.
* The allocated PG Course/Subject of candidates who fail to produce valid certificates of respective constitutional categories (OBC, SC/ST/EWS) will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under UR category subject to conditions applicable to UR merit list.
* The validity of OBC (NCL)/EWS certificate shall be 12.10.2018 to 03.12.2019 (both date inclusive). Any certificate issued within this period shall be accepted.
b. Physical Disability Certificate** issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus.
Note: Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation and the seal of the officer should be legible in the certificate.
** The allocated PG Course/Subject of candidates who fail to produce valid certificate of PWBD category will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further round under their respective constitutional category subject to conditions applicable to respective merit list.

POLICIES REGARDING ELIGIBILITY FOR 3rd ROUND
The candidates who are allocated PG Course/Subject in the 2nd round and have chosen the option 2 (mentioned above) and have fulfilled the requirements are eligible for the 3rd Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course).
All the candidates who had participated in the 2nd round and were not allocated any PG Course/Subject will automatically be eligible for the next round. Those who have secured more than 50th percentile marks in the entrance examination but not called for 2nd Round counselling will not be eligible for the 3rdround of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) but will be eligible for Open Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation / Counselling.
All candidates who were eligible for 2nd Round of Counselling but did not register or fill choices (NR/NP in this notification) are not eligible for the 3rd Rounds of Counselling.
Note: Eligibility for 3rd Round is Subject to mandatory login between 10‐01‐2020 11:00 AM to 11‐01‐2020 5:00 PM. (Please see information brochure of 3rd Round.)
GENERAL RULES ADOPTED FOR 2nd ROUND OF ONLINE COUNSELLING (ONLINE ALLOCATION OF PG COURSE)
1. Merit shall be the guiding and overruling principle for counselling.
a. The merit list as published in the Result Notification No. 187/2019 dated 22/11/2019 shall be used to determine merit
b. All candidates whether of the unreserved or appropriate reserved category shall be eligible for the unreserved category PG Course/Subject in order of merit
c. Unreserved category candidates are not eligible for reserved category PG Course/Subject
d. For an available PG Course/Subject in a particular category/ preference a candidate higher in merit shall be allotted the PG Course/Subject over candidate lower in merit.
2. The PG Course/Subject available for allocation are: Unreserved (UR), OBC (Other Backward Class), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), PWBD (Orthopedically Handicapped /Persons with Disability/PWD), AIIMS Preferential PG Course/Subject Unreserved PG Course/Subject: All candidates are eligible OBC PG Course/Subject: Only OBC candidates are eligible SC PG Course/Subject: Only SC candidates are eligible ST PG Course/Subject: Only ST candidates are eligible PWBD PG Course/Subject: Only PWBD candidates are eligible
AIIMS Preferential PG Course/Subject: Only graduates from respective AIIMS (only AIIMS, New Delhi) are eligible for UR PG Course/Subject of the respective AIIMS.
a. All reservations other than for PWBD are vertical reservations (reserved only in the respective categories)
b. PWBD Reservations are horizontal reservations (across categories)according to a point‐based roster as mentioned in the prospectus
c. PWBD PG Course/Subject that remain vacant DURING 1st round of counselling will be released for counselling in the 2nd Round itself in their respective categories
d. AIIMS Preferential PG Course/Subject for AIIMS graduates shall be available amongst the UR PG Course/Subject
3. Every candidate shall be allocated his/her best choice available at that rank for the 2nd Round.
4. If at a particular rank for a candidate, the best choice of the candidate is available in both the open merit (unreserved) as well as a reserved category (wherever applicable) then the PG Course/Subject shall be allocated under the unreserved category and not the reserved category.
a. PG Course/Subject in the reserved category for every candidate shall be allocated only there is no corresponding PG Course/Subject available in the unreserved category for the best choice of the candidate available at that rank
b. If an PWBD (PWD) candidate gets a better choice in the open merit UR/OBC/SC/ST he/she will be given that choice.
5. For Persons with Disability (more than 40%) a 5% horizontal reservation shall be followed for the and PG Course/Subject shall be allocated on basis of merit
a. PWD (PWBD) candidates are eligible only for the category to which he/she belongs i.e. If a candidate belongs to a reserved category, he /she is eligible for a PG Course/Subject only under that category and not in the unreserved category (horizontal reservation)
i. Eligible PWBD candidate of UR category can avail a reserved PG Course/Subject only in the UR category
ii. Eligible PWBD candidate of OBC category can avail a reserved PG Course/Subject only in the OBC category
iii. Eligible PWBD candidate of SC category can avail a reserved PG Course/Subject only in the SC category
iv. Eligible PWBD candidate of ST category can avail a reserved PG Course/Subject only in the ST category
v. Eligible PWBD candidate of EWS category can avail a reserved PG Course/Subject on in the EWS Category
6. AIIMS preference PG Course/Subject: For AIIMS‐New Delhi the Institutional Preference shall be allocated according to the criteria mentioned in the Prospectus (page no 15).
7. Vacant PG Courses/Subject in earlier rounds of counselling can be allotted in subsequent rounds by following the above rules.
8. All those candidates who had chosen the option 2 or 4 and reported to the institute after declaration of the 1st round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) as well as logged in at least once in the choice filling portal during were considered eligible for the 2nd Round of Counselling. In addition, all the candidates who were not allocated PG Course/Subject in 1st Round of Counselling as per their filled choices were considered eligible for 2nd Round of Counselling.
9. In case a candidate who had chosen option‐2 after the 1st Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) gets a better choice of PG Course/Subject (AIIMS and subject specialty), the released PG Course/Subject is offered to the next (remaining) eligible candidates as per merit order used for 1st Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course).
10. The PG Course/Subject allocation for the 2nd Round was done on the PG Course/Subject left vacant after the 1st Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course). UR‐AIIMS‐Preference
PARTICIPATION IN THE 2nd ROUND IS MANDATORY TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE 3rd ROUND OF ONLINE COUNSELLING (ONLINE ALLOCATION OF PG COURSE) FOR MD/MS/MCH(6YEARS)/DM(6 YEARS)/MDS, January 2020 SESSION
