AIIMS PG 2020 Counselling: 220 MD, MS, DM, MCh, MDS seats up for grabs for Round 3
New Delhi: With the admission process for MD, MS, DM (6yrs), MCh (6yrs) and MDS for January 2020 session going on, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the vacant seat position for Round 3 Counselling.
According to the vacant seat position, 220 seats are available for AIIMS PG 2020 candidates for admission to MD, MS, DM (6yrs), MCh (6yrs) and MDS seats.
As per specialisations, maximum seats at AIIMS New Delhi are available in the courses of Opthalmology and biochemistry with 5 seats, followed by Anatomy with 4. AIIMS Delhi has a total of 46 PG medical seats.
A total of 25 vacant seats are going to be there at AIIMS Bhopal, with maximum seats being available in the specialisation of Anaesthesiology.
AIIMS Bhubaneshwar has 33 seats for the third round for AIIMS PG 2020 counselling, while the number of seats at AIIMS Jodhpur and AIIMS Patna (New) stood at 25 and 42 respectively.
The newly formed AIIMS Raipur also has 30 seats for grabs, while the number of vacant seats available for counselling at AIIMS Rishikesh stands at 19.
Below are the number of seats available for Round 3 AIIMS PG 2020 Counselling at various AIIMS branches:
Reservation for the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD)
a) For MD/MS:
As per provisions (Chapter VI Clause 32) of the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities Act. 2016 Five percent
of seats shall be reserved for Persons (Indian nationals) with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) The reservation
will be provided on horizontal basis, as per their rank in order of merit in examination. Vacant seat, if any, shall
be offered to the candidate from the general/relevant category.
b) For MDS:
As per 100-point roster, no seat is reserved for Persons (Indian Nationals) with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) for the January 2020 session.
Foreign National / Sponsored
No change in seat position of Foreign National / Sponsored candidates.
The sponsored/Foreign National candidates are not required to participate in the Online Counselling/Seat Allocation process. Seat allocation process will have already been done in the result notification.
