    AIIMS PG 2020: 546 MD, MS, DM, MCh, MDS seats up for grabs

    New Delhi: With the admission process for MD, MS, DM (6yrs), MCh (6yrs) and MDS for January 2020 session going on, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the final seat position for the courses.

    As per the final seat matrix released by the AIIMS, there are a total of 546 MD, MS, DM(6yrs), MCh(6yrs) and MDS seats up for grabs for the candidates.

    The seat matrix further indicates that 30 seats are reduced, while 28 seats have been added to the earlier seat position across the AIIMS branches.

    The following changes have been made in the seat position:

    (1) AIIMS, New Delhi: Five (05) more seats have been added in AIIMS New Delhi.

    (2) AIIMS, Bhopal: The total seats of AIIMS, Bhopal remains unchanged.

    (3) AIIMS, Bhubaneswar: Nine (9) more seats have been added in AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

    (4) AIIMS, Jodhpur: One (1) more seat has been added in AIIMS Jodhpur.

    (5) AIIMS, Patna: Three (3) more seats have been added and Six (6) seats have been reduced in AIIMS Patna.

    (6) AIIMS, Raipur: Two (2) more seats have been added in AIIMS Raipur.

    (7) AIIMS, Rishikesh: Three (8) more seats have been added and Twenty-Four (24) seats have been reduced in AIIMS Rishikesh.

    TO VIEW THE FINAL SEAT POSITION, VIEW THE DOCUMENT ATTACHED BELOW:

    The notice further added the following:

    Reservation for the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD)

    a) For MD/MS:

    As per provisions (Chapter VI Clause 32) of the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities Act. 2016
    Five percent

    of seats shall be reserved for Persons (Indian nationals) with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) The reservation
    will be provided on horizontal basis, as per their rank in order of merit in examination. Vacant seat, if any, shall
    be offered to the candidate from the general/relevant category.

    b) For MDS:

    As per 100-point roster, no seat is reserved for Persons (Indian Nationals) with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) for the January 2020 session.

    Foreign National / Sponsored

    No change in seat position of Foreign National / Sponsored candidates.

    The sponsored/Foreign National candidates are not required to participate in the Online Counselling/Seat Allocation process. Seat allocation process will have already been done in the result notification.
