    AIIMS PG 2019 July Session: Result Date Rescheduled; Details

    New Delhi: Through a recent notification, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS New Delhi) has informed about the rescheduling of the date of result for AIIMS PG medical Courses July 2019 Session.


    AIIMS PG Online CBT Entrance Examination for [MD/MS/MCh(6 years)/DM (6 years)/MDS] was conducted on May 5, 2019, at all allotted examination centres except AIIMS Bhubaneswar due to cyclone Fani. The result for the exam was to be announced on May 13, however, now it will be declared only when the exam is conducted for the Bhubaneswar centre examinees.

    The notice states,

    As per Prospectus, the AIIMS PG Online (CBT) Entrance Examination for [MD/MS/M.Ch.(6 years)/DM (6 years)/MDS] scheduled on Sunday, the 5th May, 2019 for July 2019 session and the result to be declared on Monday, the 13th May, 2019, but due to the effect of Cyclone “Fani” the examination in one of the centres in Bhubaneswar could not be conducted on Sunday the 5th May 2019 as notified in the Important Notice No.-45/2019 dated 03.05.2019.


    Thus, the result now will be declared only after conducting the examination in Bhubaneswar. The revised dates for the announcement of Result, Online Seat Allocation/Counselling will be announced later.

    Medical Dialogues had earlier reported about the 60 seats have been added to AIIMS PG 2019 MD, MS, DM, MCh, MDS Courses for July session, details are as follows:


    As per the recent notice uploaded on the official website of AIIMS, the Final Seat Position for PG medical and dental courses (MD, MS, DM, MCh and MDS) at its various branches for July 2019 academic session entails the following:


    13 PG medical seats have been added to AIIMS New Delhi taking its total from 123 to 136. The seats have been added to various specialities including Biophysics, Community Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Obst. & Gynae, Pathology, Pharmacology, Radiotherapy and Surgery.


    AIIMS Bhopal has got the addition of 8 MD/MS seats in the specialities including Anaesthesiology, ENT, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obst & Gynae, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, PMR, and Radiodiagnosis. At the institute, 12 seats had been added however four were reduced from Transfusion Medicine & Blood Bank taking the total to 8 in the aforementioned specialities.


    A total of 4 seats have been added to AIIMS Bhubaneswar including Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Radiodiagnosis speciality.


    AIIMS Patna has got 18 additional seats in Anaesthesiology, Anatomy, ENT, Medicine, Microbiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, PMR, Psychiatry, Radiotherapy and Surgery.


    AIIMS Raipur’s seat position has had the addition of 17 PG medical seats in specialities including Anesthesiology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine & Family Medicine, Dermatology & Venerology, ENT, General Medicine, Microbiology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Pathology & Laboratory Medicine




    The total seats of AIIMS Rishikesh and AIIMS Jodhpur remain unchanged.
