    AIIMS Invites application for admissions in PG Courses, 2017 Jan session, APPLY NOW

    The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released an admission notification inviting applications for Master of Chirurgical (MCh), Doctor of Medicine (MD) as well as DM programmes offered in various specialisations for the January 2017 session. The duration of the course will be three-years.



    Eligibility criteria


    Educational qualification:


    MCh programme: Candidates interested in applying for this programme must be holding an MS degree in surgery of this institute or any other university or equivalent degree recognised by the MCI.


    DM programme: Candidates interested in applying for this programme should have pursued MD in medicine in relevant field of this institute or any other university or equivalent degree recognised by the MCI.


    MD programme: The candidates interested in applying for this programme should have pursued MBBS or an equivalent degree with a minimum experience of three-years in a hospital in the relevant field or five years in general practice.


    A certificate issued by the District Magistrate in support of the general practice claimed should be enclosed with the application.The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 55 per cent marks in aggregate in all MBBS professional examinations.



    Selection Procedure


    The candidates will be selected on the following basis:

    • Written test carrying 80 marks to be attempted within 90 minutes of duration in the subject the candidate has applied for. The question paper will consist of 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)



    • Out of the candidates, who are 50th percentile or above in the written test, candidates will be called for departmental clinical/practical/ lab based assessment


    Final selection will be based on total marks obtained in both the stages.



    Application Procedure:


    In order to get admission in PG courses, Candidates are required to apply on official website of AIIMS



    Important Dates:



    • The last date of online application submission is October 1.

    • Written Test (CBT) will be conducted on November 5
