After RML Medical College, Delhi NCR gets another Medical college in Greater Noida with 100 MBBS seats
Uttar Pradesh: The aspirants planning to pursue MBBS in Delhi NCR this year are in for a bonanza as with the recent announcement of RML Hospital offering MBBS course, a new medical college is also beginng with its maiden admissions in Greater Noida with a quota 100 MBBS seats.
Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida, (GIMS) has got the Letter of Permission (LOP) from the Medical Council of India (MCI) to start the MBBS programme with 100 seats.
After getting the LOP, the medical college made all preparations and the first batch will start on August 1, 2019. The institute has also scheduled an orientation programme for the students. GIMS has hired 55 faculty members.
Affiliated to King George's Medical University, the medical college is registered with Society as an autonomous institution on the lines of SGPGI Lucknow.

GIMS Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar (UP) is a self-running medical teaching institute established by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh, established since the 15th February 2016. GIMS is located in Greater Noida, near Kasna in Gautam Buddha Nagar and caters to the districts of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Hapur, Bulandshehar, Khurja, Jewar, Mathura and neighbouring areas.
MBBS fees amount that to be paid at the time of admission for general category students is Rs 83,600/-, and for the OBC/SC/ST category students is Rs 74,600/-. At the time of allotment of the hostel, the charges will be Rs 3,000/- per month and mess charges will be Rs.2,500/- per month.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the prestigious Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML Hospital) which currently imparts education for various PG medical courses moving towards offering MBBS course with 100 seats.
