    Admissions to BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS BNYS via NEET 2019 only: Ayush Ministry

    New Delhi: "All admissions in AYUSH- UG courses, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS and BNYS shall be conducted by using the merit list of NEET-2019 only", the AYUSH Ministry has clearly stated in its recent notification.

    The Ministry stated that in the process of streamlining the admissions and to bring meritorious students to the AYUSH systems of medicine in the country, the Ministry has directed all State/ Union Territory Government to admit students in AYUSH Under Graduate Courses through the merit list of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) only.

    The National Testing Agency, an autonomous organization under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has issued a Public Notice dated 1st November 2018 inviting online applications from the candidates seeking admission in MBBS/BDS courses during the Academic Year 2019-20 for appearing National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG))-2019 to be conducted on 05th May 2019.


    As per the Information Bulletin of the NEET-2019, Chapter-7 (Post Examination Activities & Declaration of Result), Point no. 5 - "Use of the result of NEET(UG)-2019 may be utilized by other entities of Central/ State Governments for admission purpose in accordance with their rules.".


    Therefore, all aspirants of AYUSH- UG courses, for the undergraduate courses namely, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS and BNYS are requested to apply online for NEET-2019 by visiting the website, "www.ntaneet.nic.in".


    All admissions in AYUSH- UG courses, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS and BNYS shall be conducted by using the merit list of NEET-2019 only.


    Besides issuing a public notice, the Ministry has also directed the state governments to make publicity of the document


    "All State Government are requested for strict compliance of the instruction of the Ministry and accordingly ensure that admission of students in AYUSH-Under Graduate course shall be mandatorily through the merit list of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG)-2019 [NEET (UG)-2019] for the academic year 2019-20." the not

    " In this regard, all State/ UT Government are requested to make wider publicity to the students seeking admission in AYUSH-UG Courses, namely BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS and BNYS to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG)-2019 [NEET (UG)-2019] to be conducted by National Test Agency on 05'" May, 2019 (Sunday)." the notice added
