    Admissions 2019: Maha CET Cell extends Joining period for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS courses

    Admissions 2019: Maha CET Cell extends Joining period for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS courses

    Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maha CET Cell) has released the notice informing about the extension of the joining period of MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS and BUMS candidates.


    The notification clearly mentions that in view of heavy rainfall in many parts of the State and transportation being affected, it is decided to extend the joining period of MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS and BUMS.


    The last date of joining and Filling Status Retention Form for MBBS/BDS round 2.0 is extended up to 07/08/2019 till 10.00 PM.


    Similarly, the last date of joining and Filling Status Retention Form for BAMS/BHMS and BUMS round 1.0 is extended up to 07/08/2019 till 10.00 PM


    No further extension will be given for MBBS/BDS 2nd round admission process.


    All Concerned candidates and Institute should take note of this.


    The Maha CET Cell had recently informed about the admission to 5 MBBS seats reserved for Government of Maharashtra nominee at Government Medical College, Silvassa, Dadra & Nagar Haveli UT.

    Medical Dialogues had reported that in a bonanza to medical aspirants intending to pursue MBBS from Maharashtra based medical colleges, over 970 MBBS seats have been added corresponding to the implementation of Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) quota by MCI, while for next academic session, 2,000 more MBBS seats will be added.


    Approval was given by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Board of Governors in supersession of Medical Council of India (MCI BoG) to increase the MBBS seats in view the EWS reservation in over 132 medical colleges.


    By the MCI and Ministry’s nod, 20 medical colleges from Maharashtra succeeded in raising their MBBS seats by 970 in total.
