4 Odisha Medical colleges bag MCI approval for admission to 400 MBBS seats
Bhubaneswar: The Medical Council of India (MCI) has accorded its approval for MBBS admission in four Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) in Odisha for the academic year 2019-2020.
Informing about the same to the News agency PTI, Odisha Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das stated that admissions have been allowed for 100 MBBS seats each in
- Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital in Balasore (second batch)
- Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir, (second batch)
- Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital in Mayurbhanj district (third batch)
- Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College and Hospital in Koraput district (third batch)

The Letter of Permission has been issued by the Board of Governors in the supersession of MCI (MCI BoG) after consideration of compliance verification assessment report along with the observations of the member of the undergraduate expert group and subsequent submission of undertaking by the State Government to provide the required infrastructure, reports TNIE.
