Varsity bus to be arranged to the exam centre: BFUHS
Amritsar: Students of Government Medical College in the state are questioning the appropriateness of the decision taken early last year, by Baba Farid University of Health Science’s to shift examination centers outside of colleges. Keeping security of students in view they have demanded that a bus be arranged to ferry students from the college to the examination center and back.
“The SGRDI institute has a bus to ferry the students to the centre on examinations days. Our college is run by the state government and it does not have any bus for the purpose. We have to arrange for the conveyance on our own,” informed a GMC student, who also spoke about a student having met with an accident in the absence of transportation.
The students emphasized that the government should work out the security of students before enforcing any new decisions.
“For years, the exams were held at the respective colleges. Now, out of the blue, the university had taken the decision to shift the examination centers last year,” a student added.
