Telangana: ESIC Medical College to share faculty attendance monitoring

Hyderabad: ESIC Medical College at Sanathnagar here claimed it is the first medical college in the country to share the faculty attendance and monitoring system on its website.

"We are the first in the ESI Corporation to map the Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System to the salary. We are the first medical college in the country to start Biometric system of the faculty before getting Letter of Permission from Medical Council of India (in this regard)," dean of the ESIC medical college, Dr M Srinivas told reporters here.

Now, MCI is following this method to control the 'Ghost Teaching Faculty' in the medical colleges of the country, he said.

The Supreme Court Oversight Committee headed by former Chief Justice of India, Justice Lodha has directed verification of the faculty on the website.

Biometric attendance in the hospital will increase the patient care at the hospital, the dean added.
